Overview

Moxie China is a lightweight travel helper for visitors to China. We do not require an account, and the app is designed to work primarily with bundled content, on-device preferences, and limited network requests needed for travel utilities.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not operate a user account system, do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passport details, payment card numbers, or government ID information in the Moxie China app. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store basic preferences locally on your device, such as language settings, checklist progress, selected city, recently detected city, and cached weather or air quality information. This information is used to make the app faster and is not sent to a Moxie China account or feedback backend.

Location

If you choose to use the current-location city feature, iOS will ask for location permission. Location is used to detect your nearby city and to request relevant weather and air quality data. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Weather and Air Quality Requests

Moxie China may request weather and air quality information from public weather services such as Open-Meteo. These requests use city coordinates or your selected location coordinates to return forecast and AQI data. Moxie China does not use these requests to build a user profile.

Third-Party App Links

Moxie China includes links and deep links to third-party apps and App Store pages for payment, maps, transportation, hotels, food, bikes, and translation. These links help travelers identify, open, or download the right services. Moxie China is not affiliated with or endorsed by the third-party apps listed in Moxie China.

Feedback and Contact

The Moxie China app uses email for feedback. If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message content, and any information you choose to include. We use that information only to read, respond to, and improve the app.

Data Retention and Deletion

Preferences and cached content stored by the app remain on your device until you change them, clear them, or delete the app. Deleting Moxie China from your device removes the local app data stored with the app.

Email feedback is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide support, respond to your message, and improve Moxie China. You may ask us to delete email feedback records associated with your email address by contacting us at moxiechina@126.com.

Your Choices

You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings at any time. You can also delete the app to remove local preferences and cached app data. Moxie China does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising trackers.
